Daniel is currently a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the Hong Yen Chang Center for Chinese Legal Studies at Columbia Law School.
He is a legal historian and criminal law scholar, whose interests include the impact of philanthropic spending on American law reform, the uneasy histories of state criminal statutes, and the reception of Chinese law in the United States.
